Employers and operators can confirm any Malala-Tau certificate instantly. Enter the certificate number printed on the document.

Certificate numbers begin with MT-CERT- and appear at the foot of every certificate we issue.

Academy FAQs

For most programmes a Grade 12 certificate is preferred but not always essential — practical aptitude and communication ability matter more. Community and short-course programmes have open entry. We will confirm the requirements for your chosen programme when we confirm your place.
Fees depend on the programme, duration and whether field assessment travel is included. We send a written fee schedule with your confirmation, and payment plans are available. Employer and SETA-funded students are welcome.
Short courses run from one to five days. The Tourist Information Officer programme and specialist modules typically run over several weeks. Tourist Guide Training is the longest, combining classroom work with field assessment. Weekend and block-release options exist for students who are working.
Every certificate carries a unique number that any employer can verify on this website, which makes it impossible to forge. Registration as a tourist guide is a separate statutory process handled through your provincial registrar — we prepare you for it and guide you through the application.
We are a working tour operator, so we know who is hiring. Strong students are introduced to operators in our network, and we regularly use our own graduates on Malala-Tau tours.
Yes. We run customised group programmes for municipalities, community tourism organisations, schools and corporate CSI projects, delivered on site. Contact us for a proposal.
